Our Programs
Early Intervention Care
Bethel's projects provide early intervention care for blind and visually impaired children through tailored programs that address their individual needs. Each child receives a personalized IEP plan, crafted to outline specific educational goals and support strategies. We also ensure comprehensive medical and dental care, with access to regular check-ups and treatments to maintain their health. Our dedicated staff offers each child the care and love necessary to foster their emotional and social development. This holistic approach ensures that every child receives the support they need to thrive and reach their full potential.
Pediatric Vision Care
Bethel offers vision screenings to disadvantaged children worldwide, identifying and addressing visual impairments early. These screenings are crucial, as untreated vision problems can lead to significant educational and developmental challenges. According to the World Health Organization, about 80% of all visual impairment can be prevented or treated if detected early. By providing these screenings, Bethel helps ensure that children receive timely interventions, improving their chances for successful educational outcomes and overall well-being. This proactive approach is essential in breaking the cycle of disadvantage linked to undiagnosed vision issues.

Specialized Educational and Mobility Therapies
We are committed to incorporating holistic therapies like Hippo-therapy and aqua therapy into our care. By integrating these diverse therapies into a cohesive developmental plan, we address the multifaceted needs of blind and visually impaired children. Each therapy complements the others, creating a comprehensive approach that supports sensory stimulation, emotional well-being, and overall growth. Our goal is to empower these children with the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to thrive and achieve their full potential, ultimately improving their quality of life and fostering a sense of fulfillment and independence.
Community Outreach and Trainings
Through initiatives like Project 5-5-5, we have successfully engaged thousands of parents, caregivers, teachers, medical professionals, and community members via our in-person and online training programs, fostering a widespread understanding and support network. Our public awareness campaigns amplify the voices of the blind and visually impaired community, while collaborations with organizations such as Lego, IKEA, and the Rotary Club enable us to leverage shared interests and resources for the benefit of those we serve.
